Thanks for visiting the Old Crow website. Old Crow is an acoustic cover duo--promulgating itself as *The Original Cover Band*--that hails from Gainesville, Florida. The duo consists of Dave Moore (Funky Dave) and Bernie O'Donnell (BO'D). Old Crow is simply a side-project for both of its members: Funky Dave, a graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in engineering, is the organist for his *real* band, Big Sky, a five-piece rock group that has played nationally for over seven years. They also write their own music. BO'D serves as Big Sky's attorney and legal adviser.

Basically, the duo formed quite serendipitously. Dave, a multi-talented musician, magnanimously agreed to give Bernie some guitar lessons--which the latter desperately needed. Soon thereafter, these lessons mutated into jam sessions at BO'D's apartment, which in turn mutated to the duo playing at some local open mic nights, which then (implausibly) led to bar owners and managers actually paying the duo to play at their respective (and respectable) establishments.

The name, Old Crow, was also determined quite fortuitously. BO'D and Funky Dave often practice in the evening, and they often imbibe during these sessions. Their drink of choice is Old Crow, mainly because of its reasonable price. (It's cheap as dirt.) Eventually, it became obvious to both guys that they had no choice other than to name the band Old Crow, which had served as their inspiration and fueled their motivation on many occasions.
